We stayed in Utah for Thanksgiving this year. Fortunately there was no snow this year! We spent the night before baking pies from my Nana's recipes. She seriously made the best pies. Lacy and I were very proud with the way our pies turned out! All 7 of them. That's right we baked 7 pies for "Pie Fest". Total we had 22 pies that night. I don't think we will ever be able to top that. Thanksgiving was so much fun and I am so grateful I was able to spend it with Clayton. We have now been married almost 7 months and I can't believe it. I am so grateful for everything he does for me and how much he loves me! He really is the best husband and I am so glad I get him for eternity!

Here's What We've Been Up To...
Viva Las Vegas! Here are some pictures from our family Vegas trip. My Papa was one of the original Thunderbirds of the air force and every year we get the opportunity to go to a private air show at Nellis Airforce Base. It was Clayton, Scott, and Malea's first time going it was so much fun spending the whole weekend with all of our family. I can't wait to go home for Christmas and see everyone again!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Oh my Gosh! All those pies look so good- I made the picture bigger and picked out the ones I really want to try- Toll House, Brownie w/ marshmallows, strawberry, pumpkin cheesecake, lemon, and chocolate w/ oreo crust! I know, I think I just listed all of them- that would have been all I ate for Thanksgiving! Yum! Nice job on making 7 pies- that is nuts! I have to mention, I love your pink kitchen-aid! (hopefully it is pink- and I am not color blind...:))
I'M GONNA EAT SO MUCH PIE!!
Nana would be proud, of the pies and the creative table settings!!!
Nice job on the pies! Oh and by the way is Clayton wearing a purse in the first picture? Are you sure about that kid?
So many pies so little time. I would love to get ahold of all of them..find a dark corner and see how many I can finish. That sounded a little depressing..I just LOVE pie!! Really cute pics..your curls are always the best!!
WOW!!! I am so impressed with your baking skills, It looks like your Thanksgiving was the bomb.com. We should try to hang out this x-mas break.
OH my goodness!!! Good job on the pies! They all look so yummy! Pumpkin cheesecake is so good!

Wow, Shalayne! You guys pulled a little Sarah Lee bake off! I am impressed. I also loved Rachael's comment and miss your impression of it! I will be sure not to show Kyle the Las Vegas pictures, as he would covet your F-16 flying Papa. He loves going to Luke Days, but doesn't have a connection like you do!
Have a great weekend!
(PS- the secret is slowly coming out! The office should know by Monday at approximately 7:00am! Check my page.)

I m coming to Utah Jan. I can't wait to see you. I don't think we are coming down at all in dec. If you guys want lets meet up in Vegas for News Year!
Oh, I see...you want a guy who can pull off a purse. JK. Clayton sounds wonderful.
I forget you live in Utah and we weren't anywhere close to Provo. You would have known if I was. J-Dogs would have run out of hot dogs!
I am so impressed with that pie you are holding! I still have a lot of work to do when it comes to making pies. Hope you had a good holiday!
